PGA TOUR SCRAMBLE
TRY FOR A HOLE IN ONE BUT WATCH OUT FOR GATORS AND GOPHERS

SUmmary
Seeing the growing popularity of Roblox, the PGA Tour, set out to release its own branded golf game.
The goal was to create a fun golf game suitable for the Roblox audience to get young fans excited about golf and the PGA Tour.
The two key goals set at the start of this project were to: (1) launch in time for the Fed Ex Cup and (2) incorporate live player data from those tournaments into the experience.

User Interface Design
PGA Tour Scramble user interfaces were designed with the younger Roblox demographic in mind.
Clean and easily understood, the user interface makes gameplay easy for players while occupying minimal screen space.

Title treatment design
Taking my cues from PGA Tour branding, I designed the PGA Tour Scramble title treatment to match the aesthetic of the game while feeling like a fun extension of PGA Tour brand standards.

LIVE
PGA TOUR DATA
Live player data from 3 different PGA Tour tournaments was aggregated into the Roblox game in real time during each tournament.
On tournament day, players would see golden golf balls land on the greens. Each golden ball was tied to live player data.
Players then scramble to make the pro-player balls into the cup for bonus points redeemable for accessories and exclusive unlocks.
At the end of the FedEx Cup tournaments, all of the live data was saved and played back in the game, allowing players to get a bump in their leaderboard standings if they were first to the sink the Pro Ball.

This was my first journey into the Roblox world and one of the largest online games I've been involved in creating. With 3 different virtual courses modeled after real courses, game unlocks, and live data, there were many details to manage. During the development of this project, we worked with a studio that creates games exclusively for Roblox. This partnership allowed me to lead a team outside of our organization and gain additional experience in working with and managing vendors.
